IIT Bombay's Chemical Engineering Department, established in 1958, is a leading academic and research hub in India. It offers B.Tech., M.Tech., Dual Degree (B.Tech. + M.Tech.), and Ph.D. programs, focusing on core principles and advanced topics like process systems, materials, energy, and environmental engineering.

With more than 45 faculty members, the department is renowned for research in areas such as reaction engineering, computational fluid dynamics, nanotechnology, and bioengineering. State-of-the-art experimental and computational facilities support these research initiatives.
